Get in Touch

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office responsible for the custody or record directly.

Start With the Right Guide

  • Use the home page to trace a released person and prepare a request for the release record.
  • For community supervision, see Parole & Probation.
  • For recent-release routes, see the 24-Hour Release List.
  • For sentence dates or alerts, use Projected Release Date and the VINELink Check.
  • For a specific institution, use the facility links below. State-sentenced records belong with Kentucky DOC; federal and immigration custody use the BOP or ICE locator.

Pike County Jail and Local Records

Pike County Detention Center
172 Division Street, Suite 103
Pikeville, KY 41501
Facility: 606-432-6232
Pike County Jailer’s office: 606-432-6291

Begin here for present custody, a local booking or release record, a booking photograph, or a transfer question. The elected jailer operates the detention center. A state survey lists pikecd@ky.gov as a facility contact, but research did not verify it as the designated records custodian, so confirm the correct submission address before sending sensitive identifiers.

Pike County Sheriff
146 Main Street, Pikeville, KY
606-432-6260
pikecosheriffky@gmail.com

The sheriff handles sheriff-held law-enforcement records. Do not default a detention-center release request to the sheriff because the jailer, not the sheriff, operates the county jail.

Court Orders and Case Records

Pike Circuit Court Clerk
175 Main Street, P.O. Box 1002
Pikeville, KY 41502
Circuit: 606-433-7557
Criminal: 606-433-7560
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ask the clerk for a docket, bond order, judgment, disposition, or certified court copy. Judicial records use the court’s access process rather than a jail open-records request.

Kentucky Corrections and Supervision

Kentucky DOC Open Records
Department of Corrections, Division of Public Affairs
Attn: Open Records Coordinator, P.O. Box 2400
Frankfort, KY 40602
correctionsopenrecords@ky.gov
Fax: 502-564-9575; public open-records line: 502-782-2229

Use this route for state offender or discharge records. Posted copy prices are $0.10 per released paper page, $1 for a CD, or approximately $2.50 for a USB, plus postage. Kentucky DOC also lists Offender Information Services at 502-564-2433 for KOOL record questions.

DOC District 11, Pikeville
172 Division Street, Suite 336, Pikeville, KY 41501
606-433-7776; fax 606-433-7012

This office is the local route for public clarification about Pike County probation and parole supervision. Kentucky VINE search assistance and custody notifications are available around the clock at 1-800-511-1670.

Federal or Immigration Custody

For limited federal custody questions, the U.S. Marshals Service Pikeville office is at 606-437-6524. Use the BOP Inmate Locator for sentenced-federal records. ICE’s Detention Reporting and Information Line, 1-888-351-4024, operates weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern, excluding holidays, for detainee-locator assistance.
